Melanie Seaman, PT, ATC
Education: Graduated from the Univ of Oklahoma with a bachelors of science in physical therapy in 1986. Completed course work at the University of Central Florida to sit for the National athletic trainers examination and became certified in athletic training in 1992. Became a certified strength and conditioning specialist in 1994. In 1995 became a board certified Sports Medicine specialist throught the American Physical therapy association.
Experience: Melanie has been practicing outpatient orthopedics since 1988. She was a partner in an outpatient clinic in Tulsa for 11 years. She has taught several courses for the OU PT program and the TCC PTA program. She has also presented to the Oklahoma Physical Therapy association annual meeting on lower extremity biomechanics. She was a PT/ATC on staff with USA gymnastics from 1993 to 2006. She has been the physical therapist for the Tulsa Ballet since 2007. She has been with Central States Orthopedics since 2011.
Association: She is currently a member of the National Strength and Conditioning association and the National Athletic Trainers Association.
About Melanie: I have 5 dogs and 2 horses. I love to bike, foxhunt and go trailriding.
